This role is crucial in maintaining American Axle's reputation for high-quality products. **Job Description:** - Conduct thorough visual and dimensional inspections of completed gear components and assemblies using a variety of precision measuring instruments. - Verify product conformance to blueprints, engineering drawings, and quality control documents. - Identify and document any non-conforming products, including defects, deviations, and discrepancies, according to established procedures. - Initiate and complete necessary quality control documentation, inspection reports, and non-conformance reports accurately and in a timely manner. - Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality assurance teams to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions. - Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, as well as quality management system requirements. - Assist in the development and improvement of inspection processes and procedures. **Required Skills and Education** - High School Diploma or GED required - Minimum of 3 years of experience in quality inspection, preferably in a manufacturing environment specializing in precision components (e.g., gears, automotive, aerospace). - Demonstrated ability to use a wide range of precision measuring instruments accurately. - Strong attention to detail and excellent analytical skills. - Good written and verbal communication skills for documenting findings and collaborating with team members. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing setting. - Basic computer proficiency - Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally and stand for extended periods. **About Dauch:** Dauch Corporation is a premier Driveline and Metal Forming supplier serving the global automotive industry with a powertrain-agnostic product portfolio that supports electric, hybrid, and internal combustion vehicles.
