Field Engineer

PBSGC is seeking an experienced Field Engineer that is willing to work in the Louisiana area and surrounding states as assigned. **Responsibilities** - Management of construction projects to include engineering and layout, leadership of personnel, and management of assets including vessels, barges and equipment - Coordinating mobilization of crew, equipment and materials - Responsible for assigned assets including vessels, barges, equipment and materials - Thorough knowledge of the project plans and specifications - Promotes job site safety, encourages safe work practices and rectifies job site hazards immediately - Ensures all PBSGC employees and contractors are adhering to PBSGC's safety culture - Daily reports and additional required written communication - Conduct performance evaluations of crew personnel - Provide proactive and intentional leadership in developing the safety culture on the project site - Coach, mentor and train team members - Support and encourage team member's learning and development **Qualifications** - Experience with working in a marine environment on the inland waterway and especially the Mississippi River is not required but beneficial - Undergraduate degree in Engineering, Construction Engineering Technology, or Construction Management is preferred but experience in lieu of a degree will be considered. Undergraduates of all experience levels and with a varied background of construction training will be considered - Civil construction management experience in addition to the above education and/or experience of at least five years is required.
