**Position Summary:** At Yellowstone Boys and Girls Ranch, Family Support Specialists are catalysts for positive change, helping youth and families build stronger, healthier futures. By empowering youth to thrive in their homes, schools, and communities, Family Support Specialists make a lasting difference in daily life and beyond. Working closely with treatment teams, educators, and families, Family Support Specialists craft personalized care plans and deliver tailored support to address challenges, promote positive coping strategies, and create safe, nurturing environments where youth can flourish. **Starting Salary Range:** $19.21 - $21.62 per hour. Salary reflects steps 1-5 of an 11-step pay schedule. The starting salary will be determined based on the applicant’s education and relevant experience. **Daily and Monthly Responsibilities:** 1. Develop Individualized Plans: Create and implement evidence-based intervention strategies tailored to the unique needs of each youth. 2. Direct Youth Support: Provide consistent, therapeutic support in school, home, and community environments in compliance with agency standards. 3. Collaboration: Partner with treatment teams, supervisors, educators, community stakeholders, and families to ensure comprehensive care and support for youth. Meet with assigned Therapist for weekly case consultation, training, and guidance. 4. Documentation: Accurately complete all required documentation in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system in compliance with agency standards. 5. Organizational Contribution: Support YBGR’s mission and strategic goals by participating in Performance Quality Improvement (PQI) initiatives and organizational objectives. 6. Professional Representation: Maintain professional conduct and represent YBGR positively to internal and external stakeholders. 7. Ongoing Development: Participate in regular supervision, professional development, and required training. 8. Other Duties: Perform additional responsibilities as assigned to support agency operations and client needs. **Minimum Qualifications:** - Must be at least 21 years of age. - Successful completion of fingerprint criminal background check and child abuse registry clearance as required by the State of Montana. - Education: Bachelor’s degree in a human services field or equivalent combination of education and experience (6 years human services experience = bachelor’s degree; each year of post-secondary human services education = 1 year experience). **Required Abilities/Skills** - Demonstrated ability to build rapport with youth and families while maintaining appropriate therapeutic boundaries. - Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including active listening and conflict resolution. - Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a treatment team, including with the assigned school district. - Proficiency in electronic documentation, typing at least 35 words per minute; familiarity with Microsoft Office 365 preferred. - Consistent attendance and reliability in performance of duties. - Sound judgment, ethical decision-making, and the ability to remain composed in high-stress situations. - Will be required to drive company or personal vehicle to other YBGR locations and/or families homes, schools, and communities to meet with employees, youth, families, or other stakeholders - Commitment to YBGR’s values: Faith, Integrity, Relationship, and Stewardship. - Willingness to obtain First Aid/CPR and Violence Intervention Prevention certifications.
