**This position is responsible for:** Receives, sorts and stores donated items in the Donation Center; determines the acceptability of donated items based on established standards; operates baler; assists in maintaining the orderliness and cleanliness of the warehouse area. **Key Responsibilities:** - Receives, inspects and sorts donated items according to the category and condition. - Selects items suitable for storage and distributes same to appropriate storage area in accordance with established procedures. - Tags items with dates in accordance with established procedures. - Packs items in boxes and marks boxes accordingly. Assists in transporting boxes to appropriate storage area. - Prepares non-suitable items for discard. **Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:** Ability to meet attendance requirements; Ability to read, write, and communicate the English language; Ability to meet attendance requirements; Ability to physically lift and carry and /or push/pull light objects (less than 25 lbs.). Moderate mobility ability. Duties are usually performed by combinations of sitting, standing, and walking on a frequent change basis. Distance of travel is usually within the same building.
