This full-time, onsite role helps ensure a safe, clean, functional, and guest-ready environment for museum collections, team members, volunteers, vendors, performers, and visitors. Responsibilities include performing preventive maintenance, diagnosing and resolving building system issues, completing general repairs and equipment adjustments, supporting museum events and facility relocations, and responding promptly to service requests through the work order management system. The position plays a critical role in maintaining the integrity, serviceability, and appearance of the museum’s building systems, equipment, fixtures, and event spaces. **Responsibilities/Essential Duties:** - Complete work orders and preventative maintenance assignments through the ticketing system, including electrical, carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, welding, and general facilities repair tasks. - Perform routine electrical maintenance and repairs, including lighting ballast and driver changes, motor swaps ranging from 1/4 HP to 14 HP, device additions, and homerun circuit installations. - Maintain, troubleshoot, and support HVAC and central plant systems, including low-temperature restaurant equipment, air handling units, VAV systems, low-pressure boilers, 600-ton chillers, cooling towers, fan wall air handling units, electric or unfired steam generators, and humidity-control systems serving more than 120 VAV units. - Use web-based building automation and energy management systems to monitor and operate dampers, actuators, water valves, steam valves, and lighting controls. - Perform and document routine inspections, equipment checks, filter changes, lighting replacements, minor repairs, and other preventative maintenance tasks in accordance with established schedules and department procedures. - Perform general plumbing repairs and maintenance, modular system building and repair, painting, and other general maintenance duties as needed. - Maintain maintenance shop areas, tools, equipment, supplies, and materials in a clean, organized, and safe condition. - Safely operate hand and power tools, including saws, drills, planers, ladders, and other equipment required to complete assigned work. - Follow applicable safety procedures, building standards, emergency protocols, and requirements for personal protective equipment, tool operation, and the handling, storage, and disposal of chemicals and materials. - Assist with vendor and contractor access, escorting, communication, and follow-up to support repairs, i…
