**Scope:** Responsible for performing general building and grounds maintenance, including service repairs such as plumbing, electrical and drywall and seasonal maintenance such as salting walkways, snow and ice removal. **Essential Functions** - Perform procedures for maintaining agency facilities, to include routine building maintenance, maintenance of building exteriors, and grounds keeping including snow removal and grass cutting. - Perform procedures for routine maintenance and repair of the agency fleet vehicles. - Install and repair electrical wiring, control circuits and electrical devices. - Install and repair piping and plumbing fixtures. - Replace broken windows, repair doors, door locks and closets. - Maintain a positive attitude towards assigned work, clients, and staff, and a willingness to work with others. - Perform work in a professional manner that upholds Wayne Metro’s policies and procedures. - Other duties as assigned. **Physical Requirements and Work Environment** **Building/Custodial/Outside Sales/Contractor Exec. Supv.:** The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Work is performed inside and/or outside an office. The employee is frequently required to climb, bend, lift, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl and walk. Work exposed to a variety of weather conditions and outdoor elements. **Minimum Qualifications:** - Associate’s degree OR a minimum of three years of experience in a related field OR a combination of education and experience that is similarly equivalent. - Must have experience with plumbing, electrical and appliance repair. - Must have experience using power tools. - Must have a builder’s license, HVAC or EPA Universal Certification. - Knowledge of vehicle maintenance procedures. - Ability to perform building maintenance and repairs including minor structural modifications. **Minimum Competencies:** - Working knowledge of basic internet applications and programs including Google technology and Microsoft Office Word and Excel. The ability to learn and utilize the necessary programs for this position. - Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in written form. - Good interpersonal and professional skills including but not limited to professional appearance, tact, punctuality, and dependability. - Ability to provide services for those persons facing economic, social, health, age, and educational barriers. - Ability to work independently or in a team environment (as deemed necessary). - Perform work in a manner that upholds Wayne Metro policies and procedures. **Licensing and Other Requirements:** - Valid identification and reliable transportation. - Although the Covid-19 vaccination is no longer mandated, it is encouraged.
