Facilities Maintenance Technician

**Position Summary** General Trading Company is seeking a dependable, hands-on **Facilities Maintenance Technician** to help maintain our warehouse and office facilities. We're looking for a well-rounded "jack of all trades" who is mechanically inclined, enjoys solving problems, and takes pride in keeping our facility safe, efficient, and well maintained. This is not a janitorial or mechanic position. **Responsibilities:** - Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance throughout the facility. - Troubleshoot and complete general repairs including plumbing, basic electrical, carpentry, lighting, doors, locks, drywall, flooring, shelving, and other building components. - Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency repairs. - Safely operate hand and power tools. - Work closely with the Safety Department to identify, correct, and help prevent unsafe conditions before they become larger issues. - Report building deficiencies, safety concerns, and repairs requiring outside contractors. - Maintain maintenance logs and complete work orders as needed. - Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. - Follow all company safety policies, OSHA regulations, Lockout/Tagout procedures, and PPE requirements. - Assist with facility improvements, renovations, installations, and special projects as needed. **Qualifications:** - Minimum of 3 years of commercial, industrial, or facilities maintenance experience. - Strong mechanical aptitude with experience performing general building repairs. - Working knowledge of plumbing, basic electrical, carpentry, and general maintenance. - Ability to troubleshoot problems and determine practical repair solutions. - Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks. - Strong commitment to workplace safety. - Experience in a warehouse or distribution environment is preferred. - Leadership or supervisory experience is a plus. **Physical Requirements:** - Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. - Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces. - Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions. - Ability to safely perform physical work throughout the workday. **Benefits:** - Full Medical - Dental - Vision - 401K Company Match - PAID Sick, Personal and Vacation Days
