Facilities Coordinator *$500 HIRING BONUS*

The Middlebury Natural Foods Co-op is looking for a **Facilities Coordinator** to help ensure our store and grounds are clean, safe, and well-maintained for staff, customers, and the community. **What You'll Do:** - Oversee and perform maintenance and repair of store equipment and systems - Coordinate with outside contractors for services like snow removal, landscaping, and pest control - Monitor and maintain safety, cleanliness, and compliance across the store and grounds - Operate equipment such as forklifts and balers safely and efficiently - Keep accurate records, help develop preventative maintenance schedules, and innovate solutions to improve our facilities - Support staff, provide excellent service, and contribute to a positive work culture **What We're Looking For:** - Building maintenance experience and strong mechanical aptitude - Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment - Excellent communication and customer service skills - Familiarity with tools, equipment, and safety practices - Comfortable working indoors, outdoors, and at heights or in tight spaces - Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. repeatedly, stand for long periods **Preferred Qualifications:** - Knowledge of refrigeration and mechanical systems - Forklift or heavy equipment experience - Familiarity with natural foods and interest in food systems At the Co-op, we're committed to supporting a vibrant local economy, sustainability, and community learning.
