## Description Provides strategic leadership and direction for production operations to drive efficiency, quality, and continuous improvement. Leads through subordinate supervisors while fostering a culture of accountability, engagement, and operational excellence. ## Requirements **ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES** · Translates business objectives into production strategies, aligning departmental goals with overall organizational priorities. · Leads and develops production leadership (supervisors and team leads), building capability, succession strength, and employee engagement across the department. · Reviews production forecasts, schedules, and resource requirements to proactively plan operations and ensure timely delivery and cost efficiency. · Establishes production priorities, ensuring optimal workflow, labor utilization, and cross-functional alignment with quality, maintenance, and supply chain teams. · Drives continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., lean manufacturing, waste reduction, process optimization) to enhance productivity, quality, and cost performance. · Analyzes production metrics, KPIs, and operational reports to identify trends, address gaps, and implement sustainable solutions. · Champions a culture of safety, accountability, and adherence to standard work, ensuring compliance with all company policies and regulatory requirements. · Partners with Human Resources and leadership to support employee development, performance management, and workforce planning strategies. · Coaches and mentors team members, fostering a positive work environment and promoting growth, engagement, and retention. · Oversees resolution of operational challenges and escalated employee relations issues, ensuring timely and effective outcomes. · Evaluates equipment, processes, and technologies to support long-term operational strategy and capital planning. · Develops and implements standard operating procedures and best practices to drive consistency, scalability, and continuous improvement. · Ensures accurate data collection and reporting to support decision-making and operational transparency. Responsible for talent acquisition, development, and performance management; workforce planning and work allocation; fostering employee engagement; and effectively resolving employee relations matters. **QUALIFICATIONS** To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
