Fabrication Utility - Laser Beds

**Hours:** 5:00am – 3:30pm, Monday through Thursday (overtime hours as needed) **Job Summary:** The Fabrication Utility in the Laser Bed area is responsible for removing sharp edges, burrs, and excess material from metal parts to ensure they meet quality and safety standards. **Responsibilities:** - Safely lift and carry parts to your workstation, operate a hoist when necessary - Use a mallet, hammer, or chisel to free parts from the sheet metal - Inspect metal parts for burrs, sharp edges, and surface imperfections - Use hand tools, power tools, and specialized deburring equipment to smooth edges and surfaces - Ensure all parts meet quality control specifications and tolerances - Read and interpret work orders, blueprints, or technical drawings - Follow all safety guidelines and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) - Work collaboratively with team members and other departments to meet production deadlines - Maintain a clean and organized work area, including taking cardboard to the assigned disposal area - Additional duties as assigned **Qualifications:** - High school diploma or GED - Ability to work with small tools and handle precision work - Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail - Ability to lift 50lbs - Great work ethic and attendance - Excellent problem-solving abilities - Flexibility and adaptability - Continuous improvement mindset - Ability to use various computer systems - Willingness to stand for extended periods throughout the shift - Ability to follow all safety protocols and procedures - Willingness to wear PPE and work in a factory environment with exposure to heat, noise, dust and fumes
