This position is responsible for reviewing rolls returned from the bagging area, conducting an inventory and quality review, and determining whether the rolls meet quality standards for reprocessing in the bagging area or should be designated as scrap. This role requires maintaining detailed written records of inspections and decisions. This position reports to the Extrusion Leader, Extrusion Supervisor, and Department Coordinator. DESCRIPTION - Application of the Company’s Core Values in the work environment. - Perform daily inventory of rolls, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting. - Identify and review non-compliant rolls that do not meet quality standards. - Record inspection results for non-conforming rolls, detailing their status. - Update the Radius system with information on rolls sent back to the bagging area. - Rework non-conforming rolls for a second inspection if necessary. - Use measurement tools (tape measure, scale, thickness gauge) to verify that rolls meet the quality standards. COMPETENCIES - Strong attention to detail and excellent analytical skills. - Proficient in documenting and reporting inspection results. - Effective communication skills for interaction with various areas of the plant. - Ability to work as part of a team to achieve quality goals. EXPERIENCE - Minimum of 1 year of experience in quality control within a manufacturing environment, preferably in the plastic industry. - High school diploma or equivalent. - Experience with plastic materials is desirable. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS - Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs. - Ability to perform repetitive tasks efficiently. WORKING CONDITIONS - Work is primarily performed on the manufacturing floor, with exposure to loud noises, machinery (including moving equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts, and scissor lifts), and varying temperatures. There may also be potential exposure to certain chemicals. - The use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is mandatory at all times. - Reliable personal transportation is required to travel between multiple facilities throughout the day.
