Extrusion Press Cell Production - B Shift

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The following description of work to be performed by this individual is not intended to be all-inclusive. Rather, it focuses on the major tasks that must be accomplished. • Ensure that safety is always the number one priority at Alexandria Industries; promote and support a safe work environment and safety oriented culture by following all safety programs and guidelines • Set up and run equipment safely and efficiently in order to maximize output while meeting customer quality requirements • Support the company’s key corporate values, objectives and strategies • Cross-train in as many functions in the department as possible • Understand and verify manufacturing orders in order to identify internal and customer specifications • Conduct all processes and procedures in accordance with department key measures • Ensure all quality practices are being followed accurately and efficiently • Keep work area clean and orderly using 5S system (standardize, sustain, sort, set in order and shine) • Meet delivery schedules to ensure customer service and satisfaction OTHER JOB DUTIES (Not considered essential to the job) • Perform all other related assignments (including special projects) as required in a professional and cooperative manner. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS 1. Education:  High school diploma or equivalent degree 2. Experience:  3+ years of manufacturing experience preferred 3. Other required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:  Basic computer skills (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)  Ability to recognize safety concerns  Ability to utilize the proper inspection equipment per designated area  A highly motivated self-starter  Basic math skills  Ability to read die drawings and inspect parts and surface finish according to customer specifications  Ability to effectively work in a team environment  Ability to take part in additional training i.e. Extrusion 101  Ability to perform and assist with preventive maintenance  Strong communication skills, problem solver, multi-tasker  Ability to properly identify materials **BENEFITS** - A.I. There is an additional $2.25 per hour shift differential. The actual base pay offered will vary depending on multiple factors including job- related knowledge/skills, relevant experience, business needs, and geographic location.
