**Job Summary** This position is for a full-time Experiential Education Coordinator position in the Office of Experiential Education. Under the direction of the Director of Experiential Education, Chair of Pharmacy Practice and the Dean of the School of Pharmacy, the primary responsibilities for this position include providing administrative support in all aspects of the experiential program. **Duties and Responsibilities** This job description does not state or imply that these are the only duties to be performed by the employee occupying this position. Duties and responsibilities listed are essential job functions and exclude functions which are incidental to the performance of fundamental job duties. - Assist the university in implementing the statement of purpose - Assist the university in implementing the long-range institutional plan - Serve as the initial point of contact between the Office of Experiential Education and students, preceptors, sites, and faculty. - Assist in the development and maintenance of experiential training sites. - Facilitate the coordination of the introductory and advanced pharmacy practice experiences. - Facilitate and document communications between the office and students, preceptors, sites, and faculty (in person, written, telephone, and electronic). - Efficiently and effectively maintain and organize all files, reports, and databases for the experiential program. - Develop a working knowledge and proficiency of the experiential management software. - Develop a clear understanding of the experiential curriculum and its policies and procedures. - Facilitate and maintain copies of CPR certificates, immunizations, OSHA, HIPAA, intern licenses and other necessary documents as needed for students to participate in experiential rotations. - Coordinate and schedule meetings, appointments, travel arrangements, special events and other events as required. - Coordinate the ongoing operation of the preceptor development program, including monitoring preceptors and site quality measures. - Support preceptor and site quality measures through preceptor training, documentation management, and site visitations to ensure compliance with program and accreditation standards. - Maintain strict confidentiality of student information, site / preceptor information, student evaluations, and grades. - Foster collaborative relationships with practice sites with effective and professional public relations. - Create, transcribe, maintain, and distribute department meeting agendas and minutes. - Perform other job-related tasks as deemed necessary for the operation of the Office of Experiential Education and/or the School of Pharmacy. **Required Qualifications** - High School diploma - Strong organization skills - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills - Excellent customer service skills - Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office - Valid U.S. driver’s license with clear driving history **Preferred Qualifications** - Associate or Bachelor’s degree in a health-related field or experience in an educational environment. - Experience as an administrative assistant or coordinator in a medical, pharmacy or nursing experiential program. **Physical Demands** - Must possess mobility to work in a standard office setting and to use standard office equipment including a computer - Must have vision to read printed materials and a computer screen; hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone; manual dexterity to write and manipulate documents - Must have the ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time. - Must be able to drive and travel by car both in and out of state, during the daytime and night hours as required. - Must be able to perform duties in an on-campus setting
