As a Visiting Angels Experienced CHHA, you'll play a vital role in enriching the quality of life of clients and supporting their wellness in accordance with their custom care plans. This can include: Helping clients with personal care and hygiene Assisting clients with light physical exercise or walks Planning and preparing meals with clients Handling light housekeeping duties Reporting health changes or unusual incidents Providing pleasant, supportive companionship Responding quickly and responsibly in emergencies Accompanying and supervise clients during shopping trips Reminding clients to take prescription medications appropriately Providing assistance with mobility and ambulation both at home and during appointments/errands A Visiting Angels Experienced CHHA works under a Registered Nurse, and there are no supervision responsibilities with this position. The CHHA has HIPAA restricted access to certain client information, and is an hourly per-diem, non-exempt Direct Care staff member with no guaranteed minimum number of hours per week. Visiting Angels offers opportunities for advanced training in areas like dementia care and/or Alzheimer’s care for caregivers seeking to broaden their skills. Experienced CHHA Job Requirements: Valid certification as a Home Health Aide (HHA), licensed by the New Jersey State Board of Nursing Possess a high school diploma or equivalent Preferred to posses a Valid Drivers License, Car Insurance, and a Reliable Personal Vehicle to use to transport clients Strong communication and interpersonal skills are a must Have excellent time-management skills and can juggle multiple duties at once Reliable transportation to get to and from client homes at the times you're scheduled to provide care Feel confident in your physical endurance when it comes to things like carrying groceries and physically supporting a client Feel comfortable performing housekeeping and cooking duties while adhering to applicable dietary constraints Are willing and able to comply with state and office-specific health and safety standards (ex., background check) Have compassion, understanding, and a desire to brighten the day of each client Ability to perform patient observation accurately and respond promptly to changing health conditions Benefits Offered: Health Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Holiday Pay Referral Bonuses Direct Deposit Weekly Pay Daily Pay Continuing Education Shift Options: Full Time Part Time 8 Hour Shifts 10 Hour Shifts 12 Hour Shifts PRN Short Shift
