Coordinator, Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program (EFNEP) - Coordinates implementation and teaching of a series of classes from EFNEP Curricula and other approved educational materials in targeted Mississippi counties - Assists in recruiting clients to ensure maintenance of adequate caseloads - Works toward increasing the number of participants enrolled annually and maintains continuous participation by EFNEP participants - Evaluates progress of EFNEP Educators and volunteers in implementing the program and associated projects - Cooperates/collaborates with the Nutrition Specialist, Extension Specialist, Project Directors and other EFNEP stakeholders in developing the team approach to program development, implementation, and evaluation - Provides leadership for the development and implementation of advisor/program committees - Maintains current professional competence through participation in EFNEP local and national meetings, staff development programs, and opportunities - Acts as liaison to promote EFNEP in print and the media - Other related duties, as assigned - Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition, Healthcare administration or related area - One (1) year experience in nutrition education and food preparation and service - Resident of the county receiving EFNEP services in MS - Knowledge of nutrition, food preparation and services - Knowledge (familiarity) with the community - Knowledge of computer operation and software applications, email, and internet - Strong interpersonal skills - Food preparation and physical activity skills - Strong critical thinking and effective problem-solving skills - Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing - Ability to instruct program educators on teaching a series of hands-on interactive lessons to limited resource audiences - Ability to recruit program participants (adults, youth, and volunteers - Ability to work well independently and in teams
