Position Summary The Executive Director of School Performance and Professional Learning is a cabinet-level leader responsible for advancing instructional excellence, leadership development, and continuous school improvement across Vineland Public Schools. Reporting directly to the Superintendent, this position serves as the Superintendent's designee for principal development, instructional fidelity, and districtwide professional learning. The Executive Director of School Performance and Professional Learning provides leadership coaching to principals, strengthens instructional systems, oversees professional learning initiatives, and collaborates with district leaders to ensure equitable, high-quality educational opportunities for all students. Through data-informed decision making, collaborative leadership, and a focus on continuous improvement, this position supports the district's vision of developing a high-performing system of schools. Qualifications Master's Degree in Educational Leadership, Educational Administration, Curriculum and Instruction, or a closely related field required. Valid NJ Principal and Supervisor Certificate. Demonstrated success improving student achievement and leading school improvement initiatives. Experience designing and facilitating high-quality professional learning for administrators and instructional staff. Experience coaching and developing school leaders. Please review: In order to be considered for an instructional position, you must possess NJ Certification. If you are currently not NJ Certified, please refer to the NJ Department of Education website, which details how to obtain the necessary certificate. All alternate route candidates ("Certificate of Eligibility) must show completion of 50 hours of pre-service training through a DOE approved CE educator program prior to being interviewed for a position. The certificate of completion must be uploaded into the AppliTrack portal in order for alternate route candidates to be considered. Further information about the alternate route program can be obtained at https://www.nj.gov/education/certification/CEprogramproviders.shtml. In accordance with S-414/A-3188 (http://www.njleg.state.nj.us/2018/Bills/S0500/414_R2.HTM), school districts, charter schools, nonpublic schools, and contracted service providers ("employers") are required to review the last twenty years of employment history of prospective employees to ascertain allegations of child abuse or sexual misconduct. It explicitly prohibits such employers from hiring a person serving in a position which involves regular contact with students unless the employer conducts a review of the employment history of the applicant by contacting former and current employers and requesting information regarding child abuse and sexual misconduct allegations. Candidates must become a NJ resident within one year of starting the position as per P.L. 2011, c. 70.
