**Events & Community Engagement Specialist** **Position:** Events & Community Engagement Specialist **Hiring Range:** DOE **Benefits:** Yes **FLSA Status:** Non-Exempt **Employment Status:** Full Time **Location:** Laramie, WY – Grand Branch **EXAMPLES OF DUTIES:** The Events & Community Engagement Specialist is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing employee, member, and community events that strengthen UniWyo Credit Union's brand, culture, and community presence. This role serves as the primary coordinator for sponsorships, community partnerships, financial education opportunities, employee engagement initiatives, and promotional events while ensuring a consistent, high-quality experience for members, employees, and community partners. Working closely with internal departments and external organizations, this position manages event logistics from planning to execution, cultivates key community relationships, and supports UniWyo's mission of Bettering People's Lives through meaningful engagement. Performs other duties as assigned or required. **Essential Duties & Responsibilities** - Plan, coordinate, and execute employee, member, and community events from concept to completion, ensuring a high-quality experience and alignment with organizational goals. - Manage community partnerships, sponsorships, and outreach initiatives by coordinating communications, relationships, event participation, and fulfillment of partnership commitments. - Develop and maintain relationships with community organizations, businesses, and other external partners to strengthen the organization's presence and engagement within the communities it serves. - Coordinate employee engagement initiatives, including appreciation events, recognition programs, internal celebrations, and other culture-building activities. - Manage event planning processes, calendars, project tracking, promotional materials, branded merchandise, and event inventory. - Provide administrative and marketing support related to events, partnerships, and community engagement while maintaining accurate records and evaluating program effectiveness. **Knowledge, Skills & Abilities** - Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. - Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships internally and externally. - Exceptional attention to detail and follow-through. - Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams. - Strong customer service mindset with a passion for creating memorable experiences. - Creative problem-solving and adaptability in fast-paced environments. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software. - Ability to lift and transport event materials (approximately 30 pounds) - Regular travel is required to branch locations and communities throughout Wyoming to support organizational initiatives, community partnerships, and events, including occasional evening, weekend, and overnight travel. **MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:** **Education** - Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Event Management, Business, Public Relations, or a related field preferred. **Experience** - 2+ years of experience in event planning, community engagement, marketing, public relations, or a related field preferred. - Experience coordinating multiple projects and events simultaneously. - Experience working with vendors, community organizations, or sponsorships is preferred. **Success in This Role:** A successful Events & Community Engagement Specialist: - Creates memorable employee, member, and community experiences. - Builds strong relationships that enhance UniWyo's presence throughout Wyoming. - Executes events with exceptional organization and attention to detail. - Represents UniWyo professionally in the community. - Finds creative ways to strengthen employee en…
