## Description # Estimator / Measurement Technician **$20 - $22 per hour based on experience** **Full Time position** **National Design Mart** is seeking a detail-oriented **Estimator / Measurement Technician** to support our flooring and home improvement projects. This role is responsible for conducting accurate field measurements, evaluating job site conditions, preparing estimates, and providing exceptional customer service throughout the sales and installation process. This position is ideal for someone with experience in **estimating, construction, flooring, measuring, project coordination, field service, home improvement, or residential construction.** ## Key Responsibilities - Perform on-site measurements in residential homes, commercial spaces, and construction sites for flooring installations. - Assess floor conditions, layouts, transitions, and installation requirements. - Review project plans, specifications, and scope of work provided by Sales Representatives and Project Managers. - Develop quotes that align with company standards, project requirements, and customer expectations using company software (RFMS Measure) - Communicate with customers regarding measurements, installation requirements, project timelines, and estimating processes. - Maintain accurate project documentation and measurement records. ## Qualifications - Previous experience using measurement tools and technology, including angle finders, Disto measuring devices, wedges. - Strong mathematical aptitude and ability to perform basic calculations accurately. - Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. - Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills. - Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. - Valid driver's license required. - Previous flooring industry experience preferred but not required. - Experience in estimating, field measurements, construction, flooring, remodeling, home improvement, or project management is a plus. ## Preferred Skills - Flooring estimating experience. - Residential and commercial measurement experience. - Construction or home improvement experience. - RFMS Measure experience. - Customer service experience. - Blueprint and project plan review experience. ## Physical Requirements - Stand, walk, drive, and move throughout job sites for extended periods. - Ability to navigate active residential and commercial construction environments. - Frequent stooping, bending, crouching, and kneeling. - Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. - Ability to safely enter and inspect various areas of homes and job sites. ## Why Join National Design Mart? - Opportunity to work independently while supporting a collaborative team. - Diverse projects and customer interactions. - Career growth opportunities.
