**Summary/Objective** The Escrow & Cash Processing Specialist 1 is responsible for performing day-to-day duties within the servicing department. Provide professional service to our members, partners, and co-workers. Proactively uphold MMS’s Mission Statement. May assist in the areas indicated listed below. **Essential Functions May Include** Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. - Process member payments and post to the appropriate accounts. Research and provide responses to payment questions or issues. - Assumes responsibility for paying of escrow: private mortgage insurance (PMI), county property taxes, hazard insurance, and flood insurance. - Assist members with the PMI cancellation process - Verifying borrower-paid taxes and insurance. Impounding for escrow and force placing insurance where needed. - Process mortgage releases. - Assist as needed with annual escrow analysis. - Responsible for providing excellent customer service via the phone, email, and web messaging. - Processes verifications and payoffs as requested. - Perform other special projects and assignments as required or assigned. **Competencies** - Maintains basic working knowledge of MMS’s products and services. - Maintain a professional, friendly and helpful relationship with all staff and members. - Performs all essential job functions and responsibilities in a timely and professional manner. - Observes all MMS guidelines and policies. - Performs all other projects and duties as assigned. **Required Education and Experience** - Equivalent to a high school education. - No experience necessary. - Must successfully demonstrate a high level of professionalism while working with coworkers and customers. - Requires excellent verbal and written communication skills with a demonstrated ability to successfully maintain confidentiality. - Strong customer service skills. - Problem solving and analytical skills. - Strong attention to detail. - Understanding of financial transactions. - Capacity to adapt to changing priorities and needs. - Ability to collaborate with coworkers and other departments. **Work Environment** This job operates in a professional office environment.
