Equipment Technician

Applicants not meeting these requirements will not be considered for employment.** Performs journey-level maintenance and repairs on electrical, mechanical, electromechanical and electronic equipment systems. **FLSA STATUS:** Non-Exempt **Working Conditions:** May work shifts on days, evenings, weekends, and holidays. **Education and Work Experience:** Equivalent to a High School Diploma AND successful completion of a recognized apprenticeship in electronics or equivalent education or experience AND two (2) years of full-time journey-level experience in electrical and electronic troubleshooting and repair. **Licensing and Certification:** Must possess and maintain a valid Class C Driver's License at time of application. **Background Investigation:** Employment with the Regional Transportation Commission in this position is contingent upon completion of a comprehensive background investigation, including qualifying education/apprenticeship/experience verification, social security trace, criminal history records review, driving history records check, verification of no previous positive drug tests in safety sensitive positions as defined by 49 CFR Part 40 (as amended) in the last three years, and a personal credit history review. **Medical Examination / Drug Screening:** Employment is contingent upon the results of a physical examination performed by our examining physician, and a DOT pre-employment drug screening. **Required Forms:1.
