During this time, you will gain hands-on experience conducting environmental assessments while working closely with experienced professionals in the field. Upon successful completion of the program, candidates may have the opportunity to relocate to another city where an open position is available. We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Environmental Assessor to join our growing team. You will be part of a collaborative team that values innovation, integrity, and excellence. **Responsibilities and Duties:** - Draft clear, concise, and technically sound Phase I Environmental Site Assessment (ESA) reports in accordance with ASTM standards and EPA regulations. - Review and synthesize historical land use data, including aerial photographs, fire insurance maps, city directories, and regulatory databases. - Analyze environmental records and regulatory agency files to assess potential contamination risks. - Prepare supporting documentation such as site maps, figures, appendices, and photographic logs based on field team input. - Communicate with project managers, technical reviewers, and field staff to ensure accuracy and consistency of reported findings. - Coordinate with clients and team members to clarify project details and reporting needs. - Track project timelines, deliverables, and documentation to support timely and efficient report completion. - Maintain working knowledge of current environmental regulations, industry trends, and Phase I ESA best practices. - Participate in ongoing training, peer reviews, and mentorship opportunities to enhance technical writing skills. - On occasion, travel to local sites to conduct phase 1 ESA's **Qualifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Geology, Biology, or other related field. - 0-2 years writing Phase I environmental site assessments. - Strong written and verbal communication skills. - Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel for field work. - Internship or consulting experience is a plus but not required. **Skills and Abilities:** - Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) - Curiosity, motivation, and a desire to learn. - Ability to work on projects concurrently - Proven ability to successfully deliver a quality product on time - Ability to cultivate strong relationships within a team **COMPENSATION:** Salary range: $55,000 - $60,000.
