This position works closely with Advance Manufacturing Engineering teams to support Product Transfers, New Product Introductions and processes development, implement engineering changes, troubleshoot equipment and processes, and contribute to operational excellence initiatives. The individual is expected to work independently on routine assignments while supporting engineers on moderate to complex projects. Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned. - Provides technical support to engineers to achieve improvements in cycle-time, yield, unit cost, quality, safety and compliance of production and operations processes and products. - Monitors instruments and equipment and collects operating data, including calibration, inspection, testing and repair activities, to assist in making on-line adjustments to instruments, equipment, or products. - Analyzes and resolves malfunctions and deviations of instruments and control systems to identify and resolve problems. - Conducts, analyses and prepares reports using metrics from salvage tracking, trending, reporting and root-cause analyses. - Maintains process designs to optimize process, equipment and facility use while conforming to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs). **TECHNICIAN SUPPORT CAREER STREAM:** Provides technical support in areas such as production, operations, maintenance, safety, testing, process improvement or product development. Uses schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions or defined plans to perform testing and troubleshooting on electronic or mechanical components, equipment or systems. Gathers, maintains, formats, compiles, and manipulates technical data using established formulae and procedures, and performs detailed mathematical calculations. For higher levels, may suggest and/or make improvements to optimize work processes. **Required Knowledge and Experience:** - Requires working knowledge of systems, techniques, tools and procedures typically obtained through prior related work experience, training, and/or education. - Requires a 1+ years of relevant technical experience, which may include a combination of practical experience and applicable training, education, or certification. - No minimum education requirement. - May require vocational training and/or certification. **Preferred Qualifications:** - Support IQ, OQ, PQ, TMV, and other validation activities as assigned. - Assist in developing and revising procedures, work instructions, forms, and engineering documentation. - Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with Quality System requirements. - SAP knowledge. - MPS Knowledge - Support implementation of corrective and preventive actions. - Knowledge in audits, inspections and compliance assessments For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required. **Physical Job Requirements** The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by employees assigned to this position, but they are not an exhaustive list of all the required responsibilities and skills of this position.
