Who we are looking for An Engineering Technician is a specialized professional who applies principles of engineering, physics, mathematics, ergonomics, safety, quality control, technical writing, and maintenance to develop, optimize, and maintain systems and processes within a multitude of operational processes. As problem-solvers and innovators, Engineering Technicians continuously seek improvements in process performance, driving advancements in technology and contributing significantly to the operational excellence of an organization. What you'll get to do Work closely with Product and Production Engineering to perform the following activities: Evaluate existing manufacturing processes and identifying areas for improvement through analysis of production metrics such as productivity, first pass yield, interruptions, and scrap rates; Ensure manufacturing processes, equipment, and products comply with safety/quality standards and regulations; Ensure the maintainability of new installations by implementing an effective predictive and preventative program; Ensure workplace safety with heavy focus on operator ergonomics; Improve workstation layout, workflow, and assembly methods; Support product/process validation and verification testing and report generation; Write, update, and approve production processes and procedures; Assist with research, purchases, and/or implementations of new equipment, processes, procedures, and systems; Respond urgently to line stoppages and mitigate down time.
