We’re hiring a Engineering Technician III at our Corporate Headquarters in Columbia, MO and we’re looking for someone who’s ready to grow with us, bring energy and drive to their work, and help us build the future of construction. The Engineering Technician will work with engineers using sketches, rough layouts, and CAD drawings to create prototype devices for review and testing. Primary Responsibilities Assists engineers as they create, modify, and test products and processes. Performs extensive research and development during the creation phase of the product Inspects products and processes for flaws and identifies areas of improvement. Utilizes computer-aided design and drafting equipment during the design phase. Equipment Set up, maintenance, and calibration Follow safety procedures and ensure proper operation of equipment and handling of materials and chemicals Keep the lab clean, organized, and stocked with supplies Why EquipmentShare? We’re looking for people who: See challenges as opportunities Embrace change and continuous improvement Bring energy, effort, and optimism every day Required Skills/Abilities Perform work supervised and unsupervised Comfortable handling basic issues and problems Mechanical aptitude: Strong understanding of mechanical principles, including gears, bearings, hydraulics, and pneumatics Technical skills: Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, measuring instruments, and diagnostic equipment Basic Carpentry, Electrical(12v & 120v), Plumbing, and Painting Blueprint reading: Ability to interpret engineering drawings and schematics Problem-solving: Effective troubleshooting and analytical skills to identify the root cause of mechanical issues Must have Welding and Fabrication experience Capable of operating Table Saws, Drill Presses, and Shear safely CNC Mill,Lathe, and Brake Press experience a plus Experience with WaterJet programming and operation Basic computer skills: Familiarity with software for data analysis and documentation Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent education or experience required.
