DISTRICT 03 / U002/ District Traffic JOB NUMBER:03-50345886-EIA-E5-07152026-DS The overall function of this position is to apply scholastic theory and professional engineering skills to traffic engineering involving standard procedures and practices in the field and office. This position is in the Engineering career progression group (CPG) of Engineer Intern 1 to Engineer 5 and is located in the Traffic Operations Section of District 03/Unit 002 of the Department of Transportation and Development and reports directly to the Engineer 6 position in 03/002. The required minimum number of years of experience, completion of required structured training courses, and satisfactory work performance are required for incumbents to progress through the CPG. The incumbent must be self-motivated and be able to perform duties many times with or with minimal supervision and also be able to interpret unforeseen conditions as they may arise. The incumbent will participate in appropriate DOTD structured training programs and attend all continuing education classes and conferences deemed necessary to facilitate the performance of required tasks. Eligibility for a Louisiana Engineer Intern Certificate. NOTE: This is a temporary position to be utilized while the incumbent is securing a Louisiana Engineer Intern certificate.
