As part of your responsibilities, you will be tasked for the day-to-day operations of the engineering department. **Location**: Aspen, CO **Start Date:** ASAP **Employment Type**: Full Time, Non-Exempt **Schedule**: Varies **Category**: Engineer **Pay Rate**: $27-$30/hour DOE **Job Responsibilities:** • Performs maintenance work at the hotel. This will include maintenance of equipment, refrigeration, HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems and dry wall repair. • Manage day to day operations and ensuring hotel quality standards are met. • Responsible for ordering supplies and equipment, meeting budget expectations, working with external vendors, and ensuring quality work is performed. • Look for maintenance projects throughout scheduled shifts and complete them without assistance when possible. Replace all lights in hallways, stairs and sidewalks as needed. Maintain hotel grounds. • Perform and document preventative maintenance program according to Hotel standards. Knowledge of OSHA standards and application. Practice Safety Standards at all times. • Maintain checklists to ensure property inspections are timely, accurate and thorough. • Provide quick and professional service to all room calls, particularly when the guest is present. • Significant responsibility of oversight of proactively performing daily, weekly, monthly and annual guest room and mechanical preventative maintenance and repairs. • Check sump pumps in the laundry room to ensure they are working properly. • Water hotel flowerbeds and pots during the summer season as necessary. • Maintain/repair all fireplaces in guest rooms and public areas. • Ensure the snow melt boiler is working properly. **Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:** • Attention to detail to ensure cleanliness and tidiness of guest rooms and public areas. • Ability to work independently and efficiently with minimal supervision. • Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively. • Good communication skills to interact with guests and fellow team members. • Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks and lift heavy objects when necessary. **Education and Experience:** • High School Diploma or high school equivalent preferred. • Demonstrable experience with vendor management, negotiation, and guest experience.
