Overview At Copper, we're reinventing home appliances for an electrified future. Our products come equipped with batteries, accelerating electrification and turning every customer home into a source of grid flexibility. We're looking for an Energy Products Program Manager to help make our energy programs and pilots a success. You'll be the day-to-day operator behind these programs involving Copper's products, working closely with our internal teams and external partners to keep programs on track from scheduling to installation to VPP event dispatch. You'll also partner closely with Engineering and Product through the design, build, and test of new products – tracking development milestones, surfacing risks early, and making sure field and pilot learnings make their way back into the product roadmap. This is a hands-on, execution-oriented role: you'll run meetings, chase blockers, keep documentation tight, and be the person that everyone – internally and externally – can count on to know where things stand. You'll get exposure to the full range of the work, with room to grow into owning more of it over time. You may also help keep a pulse on the policy and market landscape, support research into new program and partnership opportunities, and help evaluate promising new business development or go-to-market ideas. This role reports to the Director of Energy Products. We value diversity and are committed to building a team that reflects a wide range of backgrounds, experiences, abilities, and perspectives. We’re especially focused on fostering an inclusive workplace where everyone can contribute to our shared mission. Please provide a resume and cover letter that reflects your qualifications for this role. This is a full-time position and it is expected to be in-office 4 days per week with 1 day flexible for in-office or remote work. Our office is located in Berkeley, CA. What you'll do Own day-to-day execution of Copper's pilots and programs – tracking program status, resolving blockers, and keeping everyone aligned on progress. Serve as the primary operational point of contact for our partners. Prepare for and run recurring program meetings, ensuring clear notes, action items, and follow-through. Maintain program documentation, trackers, and reporting so that pilot status is always accurate and easy to communicate. Partner with Engineering and Product throughout the new product development lifecycle – tracking milestones across design, prototyping, test builds, and early deployments and flagging schedule or scope risks early. Translate technical requirements and constraints between Engineering and external stakeholders (partners, installers, certification bodies) and ensure that nothing gets lost in translation. Support installations in person as needed, building enough fluency with the product and install process to be a credible resource in the field. Help scope and stand up additional pilots and energy programs as Copper's energy services portfolio grows. Track relevant policy, regulatory, and market developments (VPP programs, incentive structures, etc.) and flag as needed for Copper's programs and partnerships. Support market research to size and evaluate new program, partnership, or channel opportunities – pulling together data, comparables, and first-pass analysis. What you'll bring Successful track record in program management, operations, or similar execution-focused roles – ideally with exposure to renewable energy, field operations, or hardware. Background in mechanical, electrical, or systems engineering. Strong organizational instincts: you keep multiple moving pieces on track without letting anything slip. Excellent written and verbal communication – high attention to detail and comfortable running meetings and being the face of a program to outside partners. Bias toward action – you're comfortable in ambiguity and default to figuring things out rather than waiting for instructions. Eager to work cross-functionall…
