The School Emotional Counselor will provide comprehensive counseling services to students to address their emotional, social, and academic needs. Key Responsibilities: 1. Collaboration and Consultation: - Work closely with teachers, administrators, and parents to identify and address students' emotional and behavioral issues. - Provide consultation and training to school staff on mental health awareness and strategies for supporting students. - Serve as a liaison between the school, parents, and external mental health professionals. 5. Program Development and Implementation: - Develop and implement school-wide programs to promote emotional and psychological well-being. - Organize workshops, seminars, and activities focused on mental health awareness and skill-building. - Evaluate the effectiveness of programs and make necessary adjustments. 6. Record Keeping and Reporting: - Maintain accurate and confidential records of counseling sessions and student progress. - Prepare and submit reports on counseling activities and outcomes as required. - Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and school policies regarding student confidentiality and records. Qualifications: - Strong knowledge of counseling theories, techniques, and practices. - Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills. - Ability to work effectively with a diverse student population and their families. - Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion. - Proficiency in using counseling software and other relevant technology.
