We are looking for an outstanding elementary education teacher with a special education certification (preferred) to help shape the young minds of our young learners. Students will be in grades 3-5 and will receive general instruction at an alternative setting. The ideal candidate would have a background in trauma informed practices, UDL, and various curriculum-based programs. Classroom location is at the Olivet Boys and Girls Club, Oakbrook location. Job Responsibilities (see attached job description for additional details): To plan weekly and daily for instructional delivery and to submit weekly lesson plans to the Program Administrator by the due date and time. Deliver instruction effectively and consistently at the levels of ability of the students. Accurately assess students' academic functioning levels upon original entry into the program and periodically through the students' enrollment in the program. Develop and maintain a safe classroom. In concert with the classroom specialist, enforce the behavior management system adopted by the program. Qualifications: PDE Certification in Elementary Education (grades 3-5), required. Dual certification in special education preferred. Master's Degree preferred. Excellent oral and written communication skills with youth and adults. Bilingual preferred. Previous successful experience with children who demonstrate at risk behaviors preferred. Schedule: Full-time, 10 month/year Salary: Bachelor = $52,919 to $81,690 Bach+15 credits = $53,636 to $82,415 Bach+24 credits = $54,427 to $83,215 Masters = $64,370 to $93,955 Mast+15 credits = $65,063 to $94,655 Mast+30 credits = $65,755 to $95,355 Mast+45 credits = $67,141 to $96,755 Mast+60 credits = $68,377 to $98,005 Benefits Included: Health, vision, and dental insurance Long term disability Life insurance Eligible for PSERS, PA Public School Employees Retirement System Employee Assistance Program to include three free counseling sessions Attachment(s):AE Teacher.doc Email To A Friend Print Version Openings as of 6/30/2026
