This position is responsible for providing direct patient care and specialized technical support during diagnostic and therapeutic electrophysiology procedures within the cardiac cath lab. The technologist assists physicians and the care team with electrophysiology studies, cardiac ablations, device implants, cardioversions, and related rhythm management procedures by preparing patients, maintaining sterile technique, operating specialized electrophysiology, mapping, imaging, and monitoring equipment, and recognizing changes in rhythm or patient status during procedures. This role supports safe, efficient, high-quality care for patients with cardiac rhythm disorders. **Essential Position Responsibilities** - Prepare electrophysiology procedure rooms, equipment, supplies, and patients for diagnostic and therapeutic rhythm management procedures. - Assist physicians during electrophysiology studies, cardiac ablations, cardioversions, pacemaker and implantable cardioverter-defibrillator procedures, and other EP-related procedures. - Scrub, circulate, and support sterile technique during procedures in accordance with department standards and scope of practice. - Operate and troubleshoot electrophysiology recording systems, cardiac mapping systems, stimulator equipment, fluoroscopy, hemodynamic monitoring systems, and related EP lab technology within scope of training. - Monitor cardiac rhythms, vital signs, hemodynamic data, and patient condition during procedures; recognize arrhythmias or changes in patient status and promptly communicate concerns to the physician and care team. - Assist with patient positioning, procedural preparation, transport, and post-procedure room turnover to support safe and efficient patient flow. - Document procedure-related information accurately and support appropriate charge capture, image management, device documentation, and clinical record completion. - Maintain required competencies, radiation safety practices, infection prevention standards, and department policies related to electrophysiology and cardiac cath lab operations. - Collaborate professionally with electrophysiologists, cardiologists, nurses, technologists, device representatives, patients, families, and other members of the care team. - Participate in emergency response and life-saving measures, including cardiopulmonary resuscitation, cardiov…
