We are proud to serve the people of Louisiana with integrity, innovation, and a deep commitment to equity. **About This Position:** This position is responsible for inspecting, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems on barges, ferry vessels, and related facilities operated within the DOTD Ferry System. The incumbent must be self-motivated and capable of performing duties independently or with minimal supervision, while also applying sound judgment to resolve unforeseen electrical and operational issues. Participation in DOTD training programs and continuing education is required to maintain technical proficiency and ensure compliance with applicable standards, including U.S. Coast Guard regulations. **Please visit our DOTD Career Center for more information about our agency:** **http://wwwsp.dotd.la.gov/Inside_LaDOTD/Divisions/Mgmt_Finance/HR/Pages/Career_Center.aspx** Two years of the required experience for the following minimum qualifications must have been on-the-job experience: Three years of experience or training in the electrical trade.
