Allient Inc. is in growth mode and currently seeking an Electrical Tester to join our team in Oshkosh, Wisconsin! The Electrical tester will perform a variety of electrical and mechanical in-process and final product testing and inspection operations. **Apply now!** **Job Responsibilities:** - Work involves interpretation of procedures, setting up for applicable tests, making modest repairs and adjustments to meet requirements, and making out prescribed test and inspection records and reports. - Receive direction and instruction relative to work assignment from Supervisor. Work from test cards, parts lists, specifications, standard drawings, operating procedures, and instructions. - Set up, adjust and use various test equipment such as test boards, special purpose test tables, choke boards, audio boards, induced voltage cage, impedance test boards, dielectric test set, linear measuring and resistance equipment, variac, line monitor, current meter, multimeter, micrometer, and other electrical related measuring instruments. - Select and set up test fixtures and equipment in accordance with test requirements. Locate and file test cards and specifications. - Perform preliminary and final electrical tests of transformers or component coils, as assigned, and in accordance with applicable procedure. Test and inspect for electrical and mechanical conformance, deficiencies and appearance of product. Check and verify coil dimensions, tinning, position of leads, lead wire size, insulation, terminals and wrappers. Use wire gauges, micrometer, scale, picks, scissors and side cutters as needed. - Determine acceptance or rejection of transformers or components and pass on notification to Repair Personnel or advise proper Supervisor. Fill out preliminary and final inspection reports, rejection, repair and move tickets. Perform other related duties in accordance with workload requirements. - Detect faulty operation or equipment, discrepancies in material or specifications and other unusual conditions and report to proper Supervisor. Maintain work area in neat and orderly condition. Make out time and production reports as required. - Observe all prescribed safety regulations. - Train new hires and cross-train existing personnel as needed. ### **Minimum Qualifications:** - Requires reading, writing, and arithmetic in decimals and fractions. - Ability to use charts, specifications, and wiring diagrams. - 2 years of experience in related electrical or mechanical testing work. - Ability to interpret procedures, set up applicable tests, and make modest repairs and adjustments. - Must be able to use test equipment such as test boards, impedance test boards, dielectric test set, multimeter, micrometer, and other electrical measuring instruments. - Moderate physical effort required; continuous mental and visual attention needed. - Ability to train new hires and cross-train existing personnel as needed.
