We are an engineering-based company, with expertise in all aspects of power supply design, manufacturing and test.** # **Scope** As an Electrical Sustaining Engineer, you will serve as the primary technical liaison for resolving production issues affecting power supplies. You are responsible for identifying and implementing engineering solutions for existing designs in response to component obsolescence and evolving technical requirements. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will ensure timely issue resolution while maintaining continuous product delivery to customers. **Essential Duties and Responsibilities, including but, are not limited to;** - Proposal/Quoting Activities: - Provides support evaluating Bill of Materials for existing products. - Sustaining/Production Activities - Analyze legacy designs and provide hands on support of troubleshooting production hardware. - Analyze legacy designs to support root cause failures and corrective actions on Customer returned units. - Analyze, update, and carry out activities associated with component Diminishing Manufacturing Sources (DMS) and obsolescence. - Work with Test team to maintain and update automated test environment. - Use of MRP and configuration management tools and updating product documentation to reflect design changes. - Providing electrical engineering support, particularly for component specs and selection, for power supply design in support of failure analysis and mitigating obsolescence. - Development Activities: - Support testing and documentation of updated designs. - Finding replacements for obsolete electrical components and updating current designs. - Evaluate testing requirements for new designs. - Provide technical support to Test engineering on Testing requirements for new designs. - Other: - Evaluate Part Change Notice’s from manufacturers, determine potential impact to design, and coordinate actions resulting from evaluation. - Ability to work flexible hours and/or different shifts, as required. - Ability to work in a safe professional manner adhering to all regulatory requirements including OSHA, EPA, State and Federal Regulations. - As the Company’s success relies on the productivity of our team and adherence to customer product schedules, an essential function of this position is the ability to arrive to work on-time, and work each day, as scheduled. - Perform other duties as assigned. **Qualification Requirements** To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
