Interprets internal and external business drivers—including cost, supply risk, manufacturability, and performance—and applies best practices to deliver value-driven engineering solutions. Solves complex electrical and system-level problems by balancing design intent, reliability, cost, and supply chain considerations. Takes a broad, systems-level perspective to identify innovative and scalable solutions. Works independently with guidance only in the most complex situations. **Role Responsibilities:** - Identify, analyze, and resolve complex electrical and electronic issues across systems, subsystems, and components, with emphasis on **cost reduction, supply resilience, and reliability** - Lead or execute **value engineering initiatives** including cost reduction (CR), multi-sourcing, electrical redesign, and supplier transitions - Develop, design, or modify **electrical architectures, schematics, PCBAs, harnessing, and power/control systems** for complex applications - Partner with **strategic suppliers** to develop, qualify, and optimize electrical components and assemblies, including PCBAs, power supplies, and cable/harness solutions - Apply **Design for Cost (DfC), Design for Manufacturability (DfM), and Design for Supply Chain (DfSC)** principles to electrical designs and assemblies - Support and lead **ECO evaluation and execution**, ensuring design changes deliver cost benefit while managing risk and operational impact - Support **NPI cost evaluation and design convergence**, ensuring electrical designs meet cost, performance, and manufacturability targets - Work cross-functionally with Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain Engineering, Program Management, and Manufacturing teams to drive **end-to-end value improvements across systems** - Define, coordinate, and execute **electrical testing and validation**, including system-level performance, power distribution, grounding/shielding, and reliability testing - Perform engineering analysis such as **power analysis, signal integrity, thermal-electrical interactions, and component selection optimization** - Generate and review electrical specifications, test plans, and technical documentation to ensure clarity and alignment across stakeholders - Contribute to **value tracking activities**, including cost savings validation, PPV tracking, and value opportunity identification - Communicate complex technical trade-offs (cost,…
