The Platforms and Devices team encompasses Google's various computing software platforms across environments (desktop, mobile, applications), as well as our first party devices and services that combine the best of Google AI, software, and hardware. Teams across this area research, design, and develop new technologies to make our user's interaction with computing faster and more seamless, building innovative experiences for our users around the world. Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. US: $132000 - $190000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits Learn more about benefits at Google. Responsibilities Enable Google's future products by contributing to platform architecture definition, electrical schematic design, and prototype validation. Work with all cross-functional teams (software, factory test, signal integrity, ECAD, product design, program management, etc.) to design, implement, and deliver prototype hardware to enable development activities. Plan and execute bring-up and validation of development hardware designs including functional verification, signal characterization, and power validation activities. Bring designs to production by defining factory test requirements, resolving build and test issues, assisting in software bring-up and debug, and working onsite with the manufacturer (if needed).
