Join us and help run what runs the world. **This position reports to:** Testing Manager \_\_ The work model for the role is: **Onsite, Mebane, NC** **Your role and responsibilities:** - Performing physical pre-testing activities for newly developed products to ensure product quality and validating manufacturing processes. - Executes the assigned work according to agreed workflows and in accordance with ABB standard processes and safety guidelines and reports any non-compliance. - Assisting the team in performing all required checks as part of the Factory Acceptance Testing process. - Inspecting and troubleshooting any identified issues, determining root causes, and implementing corrective actions in collaboration with relevant stakeholders. - Maintaining accurate testing records, data, and documentation, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and quality management systems. - Participate in quality improvement initiatives, providing feedback and suggestions to enhance manufacturing processes and product quality. **Qualifications for the role:** - 1+ years of working in an electrical or wiring experience or applicable electrical course work - Reading and understanding electrical drawings - Data Analysis & Reporting - Experience with customer relationships - Experience performing planned maintenance of electrical equipment - Basic computer knowledge and skills - High school diploma or equivalent required - Knowledge and use of tools – tape measure, calipers, other hand tools, and electrical current & voltage measurement tools as needed. - Knowledge of voltage, current, resistance, AC/DC electrical circuits - Ability to safely use a ladder while performing the job, as needed - Ability to lift, push and pull up to 40lbs - Candidate must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US. **Why ABB?** ABB's Distribution Solutions Division facilitates the efficient and reliable distribution, protection and control of power by improving electric power quality while strengthening the resilience of the grid.
