We are seeking an experienced Elder Abuse & Medical Malpractice Litigation Paralegal to join our litigation team. This position is ideal for a highly organized and detail-oriented paralegal who is passionate about advocating for vulnerable clients and has substantial experience handling complex medical malpractice and elder abuse litigation matters. The ideal candidate has extensive experience reviewing and organizing medical records, preparing discovery, coordinating experts, and supporting trial preparation in high-value litigation matters. ## Essential Duties & Responsibilities ### Medical Record & Case Management - Obtain, organize, review, and summarize extensive medical records - Prepare detailed medical chronologies and treatment summaries - Analyze hospital, nursing home, assisted living, and physician records - Identify key liability, causation, and damages issues within medical records - Coordinate record collection from healthcare providers and facilities - Manage case files and maintain litigation deadlines ### Litigation Support - Draft pleadings, discovery requests and responses, subpoenas, meet-and-confer correspondence, and legal documents - Assist attorneys with depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and trial preparation - Prepare exhibit binders, witness files, and trial notebooks - Coordinate service of process and court filings - Prepare hearing and mediation materials - Track discovery deadlines and ensure timely compliance ### Expert & Medical Provider Coordination - Coordinate with medical experts, nursing experts, life care planners, and economists - Schedule expert reviews, depositions, and consultations - Compile records and supporting documentation for expert review - Assist in preparing expert disclosure packages ### Client Communication - Maintain regular communication with clients and families - Gather case updates, supporting documentation, and treatment information - Provide compassionate and professional client service throughout the litigation process Compensation & Benefits - Competitive salary - Medical, Dental, Vision Insurance - 401(k) matching - PTO: 4 Personal Days + 6 Sick Days - Paid holidays - Free parking Confidentiality - All applications are strictly confidential.
