About the Eating Disorder Therapist role

Eating Disorder Therapist positions focus on delivering results in their domain. This page aggregates open Eating Disorder Therapist roles and what employers typically expect.

At Nabi Health, we provide weight-inclusive, trauma-informed care for people navigating eating disorders, disordered eating, and body distress. Our model blends human-first relationships with tech-enabled support, helping patients experience care that is relational, collaborative, and never shame-based. We center autonomy, equity, and trust in every interaction. Our app, Callie, extends that experience between sessions. We believe recovery happens in the moments between appointments, and Callie helps patients stay connected to their care, their team, and themselves. We're building the outpatient clinical home for eating disorder recovery: a coordinated team of dietitians, therapists, and medical providers who stay with patients throughout their journey, rather than treating recovery as a short-term program. As we launch our behavioral health pilot, we're looking for exceptional therapists who are excited to help deliver the kind of care they'd want their own patients to receive. ABOUT THE ROLE We're looking for an outstanding therapist to join our behavioral health pilot as a 1099 contractor. This is primarily a direct patient care role. You'll provide high-quality virtual therapy to patients with eating disorders while collaborating closely with our Registered Dietitians and medical providers in a truly multidisciplinary model. You'll help shape what excellent outpatient eating disorder care looks like at Nabi during this early stage. Because we're an early company, your ideas will matter. You'll have opportunities to provide feedback on clinical workflows, patient experience, and how we build our behavioral health program. While this role is focused on clinical care today, we're excited to grow our therapy team over time, and clinicians who thrive at Nabi may have opportunities to take on additional leadership responsibilities as we scale. WHAT YOU'LL DO - Provide individual telehealth therapy for adolescents and adults with eating disorders, disordered eating, body image concerns, and common co-occurring conditions. - Collaborate closely with Registered Dietitians and medical providers on shared patients through coordinated treatment planning and regular case consultation. - Complete comprehensive intake assessments and ongoing risk assessments using evidence-based clinical judgment and validated outcome measures. - Deliver compassionate, evidence-based care tailored to each patient's stage of recovery. - Address co-occurring concerns including anxiety, depression, trauma, perfectionism, OCD traits, and body image distress as appropriate. - Complete timely, high-quality documentation in our EMR. - Communicate proactively with the care team regarding patient progress, safety concerns, and treatment planning. WHAT YOU BRING REQUIRED - Active, independent Washington State license (LICSW, LMHC, LMFT, Licensed Psychologist) or PSYPACT eligibility. (You do not need to live in Washington.) - Minimum 3 years of post-licensure experience treating eating disorders. - Strong clinical judgment and experience working with patients across the eating disorder spectrum. - Experience providing telehealth therapy. - Excellent communication skills and enthusiasm for collaborative, team-based care. - Reliable internet connection and private HIPAA-compliant workspace. PREFERRED - CEDS or CEDS-C certification (or actively pursuing certification). - Training in CBT-E, DBT, FBT, ACT, IFS, Motivational Interviewing, or other evidence-based approaches. - Additional state licenses. - Experience working with adolescents and families. - Comfortable working in a startup environment where processes continue to evolve. WHO YOU ARE - Passionate about eating disorder treatment and deeply committed to weight-inclusive, affirming care. - Warm, collaborative, and thoughtful with both patients and teammates. - Comfortable working independently while staying closely connected with a multidisciplinary team. - Curious, adaptable, and excited to contribute ideas i…
