**Early Head Start Assistant Teacher** **BASE WAGE** $17.68-$19.73 per hour based on education level. **JOB TYPE** Part-Time **DESCRIPTION** **Skip-a-Long Childhood Centers, part of SAL Community Services, is the Quad Cities area’s leading provider of early childhood care and education and now includes the Early Head Start Child Care Partnerships program. We provide a safe, secure and supportive environment centered on how playing can charge the mind of the children we care for.** The Assistant Teacher supports the Teacher in developing a quality learning environment which is developmentally appropriate and actively engages children in the learning process. Through experience this position will serve to enhance the child’s physical, emotional, cognitive, and social growth. The Assistant Teacher collaborates with the Teacher in implementing curriculum as well as maintaining appropriate and regular communication with families. Additional details regarding this project will be discussed upon interview.** **Qualifications** To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
