**POSITION SUMMARY** The Town of Holly Springs is seeking an energetic, visionary, and service-driven Manager to lead the launch and operation of Eagles Landing Recreation Center—an exciting new destination designed to inspire wellness, connection, and community! Opening in late 2027 as part of the new Eagles Landing Park, this state-of-the-art facility will feature gymnasiums, fitness and wellness spaces, an indoor playground, esports lounge, community gathering areas, and innovative recreation programming. As the Center Manager, you won't simply manage a building—you will help create a culture, build a team, establish operations, and shape the experiences that thousands of residents and visitors will enjoy every year. This position is responsible for planning, organizing, implementing, and supervising the daily operations of the assigned location and all the amenities, space, staff, and programs located within the facility. **SUPERVISORY RELATIONSHIPS** Reports to the Parks and Recreation Assistant Director. Works under general guidance from the Parks and Recreation Assistant Director to ensure coordination of objectives and priorities of the department. Develops objectives and general policies and procedures for area of responsibility. Regularly exercises independent judgment and is responsible for the development, implementation and management of department programs or operations. Supervises employees and contractors. The work schedule is business hours with evenings and weekends. The starting annual salary is ***$79,322.62 (Grade M).*** **ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS** The following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be required and assigned. Not all duties may be assigned to each position. The allocation of duties for this position will vary and will be highly dependent upon the location of work assigned. 1.Provides leadership in attracting, retaining, and developing an engaged workforce in the delivery of superior services to Town residents and businesses. 2.Manages the daily operations of the assigned location, including supervision of property, facilities, rentals, programs, and tournaments/events offered. 3.Maintain an active presence at the facility. Represent the facility in community groups and public forums, participate in public speaking events as assigned. 4.Interviews and selects new employees. Assures the provision of training, instruction, and ongoing training for the Department. Provides coaching and/or counseling. Assigns tasks, reviews work, and prepares performance evaluations. Recommends employee transfers, promotions, disciplinary action, and discharge. 5.Oversees the functionality of the building, equipment, and systems within the facility. Communicates facility needs and issues with the Town Facilities Maintenance Manager to ensure the building remains safe and fully operational. 6.Develops, refines, drills, and executes safety policies and emergency action plans for programs, events, and general activities at the facility. 7.Maintains and updates social media, website, and external signage as necessary. 8.Promotes and markets events, programs, tournaments, etc., as well as maintaining client relations on behalf of the Town. 9.Analyzes and evaluates service delivery.
