The E ‑ commerce Store Executive is part of Sony Music’s internal D2C team, operating within a centralised global service layer that supports artists, labels, and merchandise partners across markets . The role focuses on building and operating Shopify storefronts, assisting with album launches and merchandise activity, and working closely with store management, commercial, marketing, and operations teams locally and internationally to deliver consistent, scalable D2C execution. What you'll do: Build, launch, and optimise Shopify storefronts as part of a global e commerce service team, supporting artists, labels, and partners across territories. Own the day-to-day operation of stores, including product uploads, pricing updates, inventory management, and ongoing optimisation. Act as a key operational contact for local and international stakeholders, working across labels, artist teams, merchandise companies, and platform partners. Assist in the delivery of album launches, pre orders, bundles, and release activity across Shopify stores, working closely with artist, label, and merchandise company partners. Coordinate merchandise drops, limited editions, tour integrations, and post tour stock updates in line with touring and release schedules. Partner with broader store management and commercial strategy teams locally and globally to align execution with wider business objectives. Monitor market trends, consumer behavior, and store performance to inform decisions, provide insights, and make recommendations. Oversee the end-to-end customer journey, collaborating with fulfilment, logistics, and customer service partners to maintain high service standards. Support store level commercial performance, contributing to P&L management, inventory optimisation, and revenue targets. Track, analyse, and report on key e commerce KPIs and store analytics, using insights to inform recommendations and continuous improvement across stores. Support the execution of e commerce marketing activity across stores, including EDMs, paid media, and on-site optimisation to drive traffic and conversion. Who you are: 2+ years’ experience in an e commerce or online retail role. Strong hands-on experience managing Shopify stores, with some coding or development experience an advantage. Comfortable working across multiple projects, artists and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment. Strong understanding of e commerce performance metrics and using data to guide decisions. Highly organised, detail oriented, and confident working with numbers, spreadsheets, and Microsoft tools such as Excel, Teams, and Copilot. Proactive, solutions focused, and able to manage competing priorities effectively. Strong communication skills, comfortable working with artists, management, labels, external partners, and internal teams locally and internationally. Passion for music, artists, and the world of merchandise. Experience with tools such as Klaviyo, Adobe Photoshop, and Asana is a plus, but not essential.
