**POSITION:** CGHS Girls Varsity Volleyball Assistant Coach **GRADE LEVEL:** High School **LOCATION:** DSST CG HS **STIPEND:** See below for stipend amounts for current openings **STATUS:** Seasonal fixed term, temporary, benefits in-eligible (does not qualify for benefits outlined in total rewards), in-person position **START:** See information below for start dates for specific coaching positions **DETAILS** - Girls Varsity Volleyball Assistant Coach - Season Dates: 8/15/2026 - 10/31/2026 - Stipend Amount: $2,500 - 3,500 based on years of experience **MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS** - Demonstrated belief in all students and the mission of DSST. - Strong character and belief in the core values of DSST. - An ability to work and collaborate across lines of difference. - Demonstrated ability to manage multiple competing priorities at one time. - Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment. - Knowledge of the game and passion for sportsmanship. **IDEAL QUALIFICATIONS** - Coaching Experience - Experience working with diverse age groups and skill levels. - Knowledge of sports nutrition and injury prevention. **THE ROLE** - To live and model the school’s core values with colleagues, students, parents, officials, fans, and the larger community - To reinforce the school’s core values, guiding philosophy, rules, and school spirit - Foster a positive and inclusive team environment that encourages teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship. - Design and implement comprehensive training programs tailored to the needs and goals of individual athletes and the team. - Conduct regular training sessions, focusing on technique, strength, endurance, and skill development. - Organize and oversee team practices, competitions, and events, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and safety protocols. - All coaches must be willing and able to be trained and approved to drive our activity buses. **THE PERSON** - Mission-driven: You have a desire to change the way the public school system serves students, so that all kids – regardless of race, ethnicity, or income – have the opportunity to go to college. - Track record of leadership: You know that being a great coach means being a dynamic leader, and your life and professional experiences demonstrate your ability to lead others to achieve great outcomes.
