MORTON INDUSTRIES Truck Driver Every Delivery Carries Our Name. When you’re behind the wheel, you’re Morton Industries. Our drivers do more than move materials—they keep production supplied, customers on schedule, and our reputation rolling down the road with every load. If you take pride in a clean record, a secure load, and a job done right, this role was built for you. The Morton Way At Morton Industries, our values aren’t just words on a wall—they’re how we work every day. Integrity in Action We do the right thing, even when no one is looking. Focused on Team Success We believe the best results come from people working together and serving one another. Driven to Deliver We keep our commitments and take pride in delivering exceptional work. Consistent Progress We look for opportunities to improve our people, our processes, and ourselves. Professional Authenticity We bring our best every day while staying true to who we are. What You’ll Actually Be Doing As a Truck Driver, you’ll make pick-ups and deliveries, keep your truck road-ready, and make sure every load arrives safely, on time, and with the right paperwork. You’ll be responsible for: • Driving to destinations and making pick-ups and deliveries safely and on schedule. • Loading and unloading materials—manually or with a manual material mover or motorized industrial truck—or assisting the team in doing so. • Checking quantities of goods received and delivered, and obtaining proper paperwork for every shipment. • Signing shipping documents to verify the quantity and quality of materials. • Maintaining your truck log in accordance with state and federal regulations. • Maintaining a current state driver’s license for the type of truck being operated and meeting all state and federal licensing and physical requirements. • Staying in telephone or radio contact with your supervisor to receive delivery instructions. • Inspecting truck equipment and supplies—tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water—and handling minor operational needs like refueling and washing windows. • Reporting major maintenance needs to your supervisor. • Performing emergency roadside repairs such as changing tires or installing light bulbs, tire chains, and spark plugs. • Positioning blocks and tying down cargo to keep every load secure during transit. • Performing other duties as assigned. Who Thrives Here At Morton, we hire for character just as much as experience. The drivers who thrive here are: Hungry You take ownership of your routes, your truck, and your schedule. You work hard and look for ways to do the job better. Humble You follow the rules of the road and the shop, ask questions when something’s unclear, and treat everyone on the dock with respect. We expect people who care about doing the job safely and take pride in doing it right. You’re Morton on the Road This position has no supervisory responsibilities—but it carries real responsibility. To many of our customers and vendors, our drivers are the only Morton employees they’ll ever meet in person. The way you show up—on time, professional, load secured, paperwork right—is the way they see our whole company. Work Environment This is a hands-on driving and material-handling role. You’ll regularly work around moving mechanical parts and dirty or oily conditions, in a loud environment. Occasionally, you’ll be exposed to fumes, airborne particles, and industrial chemicals while following all required safety procedures.
