As a Driver License Examiner, you will perform the following duties: - **Safety Evaluation:** Determine driving abilities and check vehicles for required mechanical conditions - **Vision Testing:** Administer vision screenings and assess applicants using standardized tools - **Knowledge Assessment:** Conduct written examinations to confirm understanding of laws and traffic signs - **Identity Verification:** Examine documents and use systems to authenticate identities and detect fraud - **Customer Processing:** Issue licensing products and provide guidance on renewals, transfers, and specialty license requirements - **Compliance Duties:** Follow REAL ID rules, customer service policies, fee waiver guidelines, and Title VI procedures Interested in learning more? Check your email, including spam/junk folders, for these notices. **QUALIFICATIONS** **Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:** - One year of experience as a Driver License Examiner Assistant (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); **or** - Two years of experience obtaining, evaluating, and providing information to the public. **Special Requirements:** - All positions require an active Pennsylvania non-commercial Class C Driver’s License or equivalent and twenty-one years of age at the time of application. - All positions require no suspensions or revocations of a driver’s license during the five year period immediately preceding employment. - All employees in this job hired after February 28, 2022, are required to obtain an active unrestricted Class M driver’s license within the first six months of employment or before the end of the probationary period and maintain it during employment. **Other Requirements:** - You must meet the [PA residency requirement](https://www.employment.pa.gov/Additional%20Info/Pages/default.aspx).
