Driver/C.N.A. (FT 8am-4pm)

**Job Scope:** The duties and responsibilities of the Driver include driving residents to and from scheduled appointments using a company van, car, and/or bus. **Responsibilities:** • Serves as the primary driver for whatever transportation is needed. • Manages time and location to accommodate resident appointments. • Works with other Drivers and System Coordinator to maximize efficiency in transportation services. • Maintains vehicles with documents, fluids, filters, tires, brakes, windshield wipers, and safety devices. • Maintains lifts and straps used to secure residents and wheelchairs during transportation. • Reports all vehicle damage and deficiencies to the Systems Coordinator or supervisor. • Driving assignments are generally Monday through Friday but the occasional weekend or Communicates with residents, medical, office personnel, and the general public regarding transportation needs and requirements. • Keeps up to date on all required and in-service training. • Maintains confidentiality and privacy of community/resident records and communicates with dignity and respect. • Routinely checks the schedule for possible changes. • Foster teamwork with co-workers, show initiative in overcoming obstacles, take actions that assist others beyond job responsibilities, and have a positive impact on co-workers, residents, and visitors. • Seek out and perform other duties as assigned or needed. Qualifications: • Compassion for and desire to work with seniors! • 6 months preferred with no more than one moving violation within the last 3 years. • Valid Driver's license • CDL, where applicable. • Demonstrates the ability to perform generally acceptable driving maneuvers applicable to the respective vehicles used. **Physical Requirements:** Standing, Walking, sitting, Use hands and fingers to handle or feel, Reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, Stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, Talk or hear, vision due to computer work. **Ability to lift:** Up to 50 pounds. **Working Conditions:** Requires interaction with co-workers, residents, or vendors, Occasional weekend, holiday, evening, or night work is needed to ensure shift coverage.
