Please contact Human Resources for the complete job description. **Summary/Objective:** As a valued member of our team, you will be working for our well-established, medium sized construction materials company with multiple production plants throughout California. As a driver, you would collect and transport aggregate materials such as rock and sand to the company’s plants as directed, ensuring full compliance with company policies and procedures and with Federal, State and Local government laws and regulations in a safe and professional manner. **Supervisory Responsibilities**: None **Essential Functions:** • Deliver assigned loads of aggregates to designated Company’s plants. • Drive to assigned quarry to pick up aggregate materials as required. • Enter trips’ starting and ending times and meal breaks taken on driver’s log. • Enter work locations into GPS to ensure most accurate and time effective routes. • Before unloading, confirm bin is of same material and not contaminate with different aggregate. • Check the plant telephone recording to ascertain work assignments and plant reporting times on a daily basis. • Collect and take back to the plant any documentation on materials received and delivered. • Comply with instructions provided by customer’s yard or other personnel. • Comply with state and federal vehicle codes and regulations, as well as Safety regulations. • Continuously checks to ensure the smooth offloading of aggregates at designated area. • Maintain a clean vehicle, always cleaning it while on duty, on company time. • Must be able to work independently and without direct supervision; able to make decisions about the severity of variable situations and evaluate the most appropriate response; able to make appropriate decisions related to environmental conditions and customer requests. • Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle operational and safety checks on a daily basis. • Places his/her vehicle over a grizzly and manually operates valves to offload aggregates at assigned plants. • Promptly reports any vehicle malfunctions from safety and operational standpoint. • Pull up next to ground storage to get vehicle loads, and to scale house to sign load tickets. • Repeat loading and offloading process as required, subject to assigned work schedule. • Report and job-related accidents and/or injuries to designated plant and Corporate personnel immediately. • Use critical thinking skills to interpret information furnished in written, oral or schedule form. • Makes sound decisions based on available information and evaluates situations and requirements to plan and adjust work accordingly. • Visually inspects trailers to check for the appropriate levels aggregates have been loaded onto them. **Non-Essential Duties:** • Attend Safety and other training meetings as required. • Communicate with appropriate personnel on any issues. • Cross trained in order to drive aggregate or powder. • Maintain accurate work and driving records. • Ability to add and subtract as well as to multiply and divide. Hours of work may vary at plant or other location. Not eligible for remote work. Must be available 6 days a week and to work overtime as needed. **Minimum Education and Experience** • California Class A permit with doubles/triples endorsements.
