Roto-Rooter's Hawaii branch, located on Kapolei, is looking for **Experienced Drain Technicians**. First year Roto-Rooter drain service technicians can expect top-pay, earning $55,000, on average. Pay increases quickly with each year of experience. The primary role of a Sewer and Drain Technician is to provide quality sewer and drain cleaning to residential, commercial, and industrial customers. Roto-Rooter provides an initial 12 weeks of paid sewer and drain service training, plus continuing training is available if you want to learn the plumbing trade and pursue a journeyman plumber’s license. ## Responsibilities - Responds to customer service calls by inspecting problem areas and accurately diagnosinga problem; provides solution and estimate for service and closes the sale. - Locates and arrives at job sites in a timely manner; safely drives and operates servicevehicle between job sites. - Unclog and clean sewers and drains for the customer using Roto-Rooter equipment and tools. - Document estimates and invoices, both in writing and on a provided smartphone. - Collect payment and move on to the next service call. ## Requirements - A valid driver’s license - Effective communication skills. - A mechanical aptitude is desirable, but prior experience is not necessary. - As part of employment, you will need to purchase a service van prior to completion of your training period. ## Benefits At Roto-Rooter, we believe our most significant investment is in our employees.
