JOB SUMMARY: Drafter I will support corporate and customer mission to provide world-class IT services and support that connects systems and users across NORAD in the areas of software development/maintenance, network services, cyber security, systems administration, and other mission-critical areas. As a Drafter I, assist in providing classified communications and processing for Command and Control (C2) capability in organizational work centers at NISSC sites. SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Participate in the planning, and design of technical schematics, illustrations, and diagram artifacts (both internal and Contract Data Requirement List (CDRL) based; templates and content). Prepare, modify, and maintain plans, designs, drawings, and schematics for components and systems. Work from sketches, notes, and verbal instructions. Use computer-aided design (CAD) systems such as AutoCAD and Visio to prepare layouts and drawings. Proficiency with various Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint and Teams. Work with engineers in specific disciplines, which may require some knowledge of that discipline. Produce comprehensive, quality drawings or technical documentation in accordance with ASME Y14.100-2017. Perform individual and team quality checks on drawings or technical documentation. Attend and Participate in Periodic Large Scale Agile Planning events. Support standard Agile ritual meetings as necessary and assist Scrum teams in execution of Program Increments and Iterations.
