**Perks and Benefits:** - Career growth opportunities - Competitive hourly base pay, plus tips - Pay increases based on performance - Paid training - Great work hours: closed Monday, close daily at 5:00, no evening work and closed on major holidays - Paid vacation days - Growth opportunity: great leadership and teamwork experience - Complimentary service membership for your pup **About the Position:** The Dog Groomer is an integral position at Scenthound, offering grooming knowledge and providing grooming services to clients. **Position Skills and Requirements:** - At least 1 year of grooming experience or graduation from a grooming school - Knowledge of dog breeds, care standards (with emphasis on dog safety) and tools of the trade - Leadership, coaching and mentorship - Effective communication with team members and others - Service-oriented with problem-solving, attention to detail and time management skills; and an ability to self-critique and hold self and others to high grooming standards - Basic computer/technology proficiency - Strength to lift larger dogs up to 70 pounds; stamina to stand for long time periods **Who We Are Looking For:** We are searching for a confident dog groomer who loves to groom dogs! A successful Dog Groomer is knowledgeable, perceptive, patient, adaptable, and a compassionate dog lover! We are looking for a motivated groomer to join our team! **Tasks** - Groom to Scenthound standards. - All we do are puppy cuts; one length all-over with a neat face - Create an environment conducive to learning, open communication, and teamwork - Identify when/ where help is needed and provide assistance to keep Scenter on schedule - Ensure the safety of dogs and team members at all times - Adhere to Scenthound sanitary and cleaning practices - Perform other tasks and duties as assigned by the Scenter Manager **About Scenthound Mount Juliet:**Dogs are family.
