A successful Dog Groomer is knowledgeable and patient. No elaborate breed styling, no surprises. - **Support on every dog.** Bathers prep and a front desk handles clients, so your hands stay on grooming. - **Room to grow.** Strong performers move up to Lead Groomer. - **A team that has your back.** Open and supportive communication. **This Dog Groomer position requires:** - At least two years of grooming experience, or graduation from a grooming school - Knowledge of dog breeds, care standards, and the tools of the trade - Strength to lift up to 70 pounds and stamina to stand for long periods - Reliable transportation - Willingness to work in a smoke-free environment **Tasks:** - Groom to Scenthound standards—the puppy cut: one length all over with a neat face - Help create an environment of learning, open communication, and teamwork - Ensure the safety of dogs and team members at all times - Follow Scenthound sanitary and cleaning practices - Take on other tasks as assigned by the Scenter Manager **Skills and Abilities:** - Clear communication with team members and dog parents - Strong problem-solving and attention to detail - Solid time management - Ability to self-critique and hold yourself—and your team—to high grooming standards **Ready to Join the Pack?**If you’re a compassionate groomer who loves dogs and wants steady pay and a steady schedule, we’d love to meet you!
